Months ago I was told my car needed nearly $2000 in repairs including a timing belt. I was also told that if the belt broke (I guess mine is thinning) it could ruin my entire engine and result in the need for an engine replacement. Three times in the last few weeks my car stopped running and wouldn’t turn over, an indication (my friend said) that it’s really time to replace that belt.
